How We Started

Tommy Keech is a 24-year USMC Veteran. He retired in July 2018 and moved to Farmington, MN. Before starting TK & Sons Repair, he was a private jet pilot for a Minneapolis billionaire. However, once COVID-19 hit, he took fixing people’s stuff on the side and eventually turned it into his full-time job.

Tommy’s passion is racing dirt bikes (MX or Motocross). He loves building race bikes or just making them look and work better. He has been doing this for over 30 years, and races regularly in MN D23.

Meet Tommy Keech

Tommy Keech grew up in New Ulm, MN. As a teenager, he raced BMX and serviced ag and dairy equipment while working for the family business. He has always been interested in tinkering even at a young age. In 1994, he joined the USMC. He was enlisted for 8 years and achieved the rank of S Sgt before receiving a commission as a 2nd Lt. Following his graduation at The University of Minnesota, he went off to Naval Flight Training.

In 2005, he earned his wings of gold, serving as a USMC CH-46 helicopter and MV-22 Osprey pilot. He then retired as a Major in 2018. Tommy is often asked why he retired; his answer is always so he could spend time with his four boys, who are Gavin, 24 and in the USAF now, Tyler, 18 and a student at the University of MN, Aiden 7, and Braden 6 years old, hence the name of his business, TK & Sons Repair. His goal is to teach them alongside him and have something tangible for them to assume one day, if they would choose to. Tommy has earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Strayer University.
